Bio and Credentials
Dr. Peter Harnois graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 1982. He served as class president and a member of the student council for 3 years. He received numerous awards and honors including:
- The American College of Dentistry Award of Merit.
- The Phi Delta Dental Fraternity Outstanding Academic Achievement Award.
- The Department of Oral Diagnoses Outstanding Senior Student Clinician Award.
- Graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry.
- Received the Lifetime Alumni Award from the University of Illinois in 1982.

Dr. Harnois was a professor of Oral Diagnosis at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry from 1983-1988. He has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry in Hinsdale, IL since 1983. In July of 2008, he opened Chicago’s first LUMINEERS and Sapphire Whitening Center at the One Magnificent Mile Building on Michigan Ave in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Harnois is Chicago’s leading LUMINEERS dentist and has used his comprehensive skills and artistry to place over 3,000 smile enhancing LUMINEERS and over 40 arches of LUMITray. Dr Harnois is an international lecturer for LUMINEERS, LumiTray and Sapphire Teeth Whitening. He now offers a unique over-the shoulder training course for dentists at his Chicago LUMINEERS Dental Training Center.
Dr. Harnois majored in zoology and graduated Cum Laude from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1978. He was named MVP in 1975 and 1976 and captain of the swim team in 1977 and 1978. In 1985, he was inducted into the Ohio Wesleyan Athletic hall of Fame.
